Secure Online Data Delivery (FTP)

Call Center Inbound Services

Fear of hacking and other security breaches in the computerized age have forced the creation of many techniques for secure online data exchange. More than 40% of the financial firms have reported that their website, data or network is targeted by organized criminals. Time and again we have created new technologies for added efficiency and business growth. FTP or File Transfer Protocol is one such tool.

FTP is an  Internet protocol that allows a computer to send files to or receive files from another computer. Like many internet resources, FTP works by means of a ‘Client server’ architecture. FTP works in very similar fashion as HTTP for transferring Web pages from a server to user’s browser. It is the simplest and most secure way to exchange files over the Internet.

The most common activity for which FTP is used is the  download of  files from the Internet. FTP is the backbone of the MP3 music craze, and vital to most online auction and game enthusiasts. In addition, the ability to transfer files back-and-forth makes FTP essential for anyone creating a Web page, amateurs and professionals alike. When you transfer a file to our computer over the Internet  he is  actually transferring it from another computer this is where FTP guarantees secure online data delivery. These security issues are compounded by increased volumes of data.

FTP uses software named as FTP Client for its functioning. It is designed to transfer files back-and-forth between two computers over the Internet .It needs to be installed on our customer’s computer and can be used with a live connection to the Internet. The classic FTP Client look is a two-pane design.  The pane on the left displays the files on your computer and the pane on the right displays the files on the remote computer. File transfers are as easy as dragging-and-dropping files from one pane to the another or by highlighting a file and clicking one of the direction arrows located between the panes. In addition to this FTP client has several other features such as multiple file transfer; the auto re-get or resuming feature; a queuing utility; the scheduling feature; an FTP find utility; a synchronize utility; and for the advanced user, a scripting utility. We at Ansafone offer FTP service for secure online data delivery. It is up to you to decide whether to leave your important files at risk or use our facility. These security issues are compounded by increased volumes of data.

The Data entry process of FTP is very simple. The documents which are generally in the form of images are scanned and loaded to a secure FTP server by the FTP Client. The files are then downloaded from the FTP sites; thereafter the documents are indexed, sorted and moved to private folders of the operators for easier allocation of work. The data is then entered according to the customer’s specification into the word or excel sheets. Completed files are then put through a round of quality checks by quality checkers and finally by Head checkers before being sent to the customers. Error rates are strictly monitored and are kept under 1-3% of all data entry projects.

Some companies adopt a more secure process in which, FTP use is modified or limited as and when conditions demand. This process is known as Managed File Transfer (MFT) technology. MFT helps in closer monitoring of data and manage and safeguard the data through a combination of security features such as transfer visibility and deliver assurance. Adding these capabilities to company’s FTP increases customer services. The most significant benefit is major reduction in the incidence of costly data breaches. We at Ansafone offer best FTP solutions for you and your company.
